Meet Dr. Dauwe
Dallas, Texas plastic surgeon Dr. Phillip Dauwe believes that everyone deserves to feel confident, and he brings this philosophy to The ZO Skin Centre. Prior to joining The ZO Skin Centre team, Dr. Dauwe trained under and operated with some of the most influential surgeons in the world. In his years of study, Dr. Dauwe found that applying the individualized, multi-modal treatment strategy, which he adopted from his mentors, brought out the very best in patients and yielded phenomenal results. His approach is one of thoughtful confidence with a relationship-building focus. Dr. Dauwe feels very privileged to treat each patient, and considers him or her a patient for life.
Skills & Specialties
During his years of training and learning in his aesthetic surgery fellowship, Dr. Dauwe diligently spent those years honing his skills in surgeries of the face, body, and breast. With great skill, he performs procedures such as facelifts, rhinoplasty, upper and lower eyelid surgeries, and skin rejuvenation treatments for the face. For the body and breast, Dr. Dauwe is skilled in performing body contouring and tummy tucks, as well as breast augmentation, breast lift surgery, and breast reductions.
Education & Training
Dr. Dauwe attended Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, TX where he discovered his passion for science. He went on to study at the Honors Business School at Southern Methodist University, earning an Undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a minor in Biomedical Science and graduating summa cum laude. Dr. Dauwe received a Medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern and accepted a highly coveted spot in the UT Southwestern Plastic Surgery Residency Program. He completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California with Dr. Grant Stevens, Dr. Jay Calvert, Dr. Rollin Daniel, Dr. Andrew Ordon, Dr. Luis Macias, and Dr. Ritu Chopra, while performing his work in Marina del Rey, Newport Beach, and Beverly Hills, CA.
In addition to prioritizing patient care, Dr. Dauwe believes wholeheartedly in contributing back to the field of medicine. He has research featured in textbook chapters, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and on patented technologies in aesthetic surgery. Along with his research efforts, Dr. Dauwe has presented at conferences, educational forums, and other events which focus on the surgical techniques and clinical outcomes of facelift, rhinoplasty, breast surgery, and facial reconstruction procedures, as well as nonsurgical devices.
Though Dr. Duawe is a native Texan, California will always hold a special place in his heart. Now back in Dallas, he is thrilled to build his career in his hometown with wife, Liz, and sons, August and Hudson. Dr. Dauwe says that his family is the single most important part of his life, and is eternally grateful for the love and support they’ve provided him throughout the years.
