Administering Kybella
Before undergoing a Kybella treatment, we will consult with you to determine if this injectable is best for you. Once the area below your chin is examined and your aesthetic goals are understood, a unique treatment plan will be developed. The amount of fat localized underneath your chin will determine the amount of injections that are required to obtain the look you desire. Commonly, individuals receive 2 – 6 injections, which will be spread out over a one-month period to ensure optimal results. However, once Kybella destroys the fat cells, they can no longer be reproduced or accumulated in the submental area. Therefore, once your injection sessions are complete, there is no need for future treatments. Kybella injection sessions usually last 15 – 20 minutes.
After Your Treatment
Following your Kybella injection treatment, minor redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness may occur. These side effects should subside within 2 – 3 days. A cold compress may also be applied to reduce these symptoms. It's important to avoid any activities that could possibly cause harm or discomfort to the treatment area. It's also helpful if you adhere to all post-treatment tips provided by your aesthetic team. Although Kybella is long lasting, potential weight gain can alter these results.
