RF Microneedling
Overview
ZO Skin Centre's RF microneedling tightens skin nonsurgically by inducing collagen production to create younger looking skin. This technique can open up the skin just enough to jump-start the healing process by using a multi-needle device powered by radiofrequency (RF) energy. Our medical aestheticians perform microneedling on the face, neck, and décolletage to incite your cells to regenerate and heal. This will lead to a healthier layer of skin with a smoother texture and renewed firmness. Microneedling with RF engergy can also be applied with laser vaginal rejuvenation treatments, such as Votiva.

Platelet-Rich Plasma
In a private treatment room, we will draw your blood for the PRP collection to take place while you receive your microneedling session. One of our medical skin experts will take the vial of blood to our lab so that it can begin the separation process in a centrifuge. Your platelets and growth factors will then be condensed into a platelet-rich plasma to be applied or injected into the skin.
Platelet-Rich Fibrin
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) requires a blood draw just like the PRP. Then, it will be taken to the centrifuge in our lab to be spun to be separated. Finally, the PRF can be injected into your skin like a dermal filler.
Best Candidates for RF Microneedling Treatments
Dry skin, uneven skin tone, rough texture, age spots, loose skin, wrinkles on the face, neck, and chest are all characteristics of skin that would benefit from a microneedling treatment with PRP and/or PRF. Candidates with sun damage and acne scars will find that the microneedling process is very rewarding to the skin as well.
What to Expect During Your RF Microneedling Treatment
You will relax in the treatment chair while having your microneedling treatment. The microneedling device (a state-of-the-art, handheld technology) will produce minuscule holes in your skin, which opens it up just enough to start the cell regeneration process. Beginning at your forehead and working all the way around your face, we will glide it across your skin in a back and forth motion. The tiny needles will not damage your skin. It will brilliantly bolster your ability to produce skin-firming collagen. Once the PRP and/or PRF is ready, it will be applied or injected into your selected treatment area. You can expect to see some bruising, swelling, and redness to your skin after the treatment as this is a normal reaction. It may take several weeks for you to see the end result. Your skin will need time to repair itself and heal.
